What is Real People?

Real People is a talent agency full of exceptional yet real people. Over the past two decades, we have developed a respected reputation both locally and overseas.  We represent talent of all ages for work in TV, film, advertising, photographic and voice-over work and much more. We begun operating in 1992 and have since grown significantly. In 2000, Mario Verescuk became the Managing Director and the company was thereafter known as Real People Victoria. As the foremost agency for talent in Melbourne, we attract the best and the brightest for a diverse range of productions.

Who are your clients?

Real People Victoria has a diverse range of clients from many different areas. On a day to day basis we liaise with TV production houses, advertising agencies, freelance casting agents and photographers. We don't limit ourselves to one particular industry and are proud of our reputation for providing talent to many industries.

How do you promote your talent?

At Real People we proactively promote our talent every day. Based on a brief from the client and the talent's availability, we make our suggestions. We always actively promote our Talent Profiles on the website. These are available publicly at www.realpeople.com.au.

Do you guarantee work?

No, we cannot guarantee work - as ultimately the decision is not ours.  Final  selection is always done by the clients. Real People Victoria will always use their best endeavours to promote and secure work for talent.

How much commission do you take?

For Film and TV Series our commission is 15%. For commercial photographic and TV work we take a 20% commission.

Do you charge to be on your books?

There is no charge for joining, registration or appearance on the website.

However, Real People Victoria require all of the talent to possess professional photographs. These will be made available to the advertising industry, appear on our  database and website. This gives talent the opportunity to be selected to attend castings, modeling film and television work. The Agency can arrange for a professional photos to be taken, and recommend a professional photographer at a very reasonable cost. However, the talent is at liberty to obtain photographs from his or her own sources provided that the photographs are of an acceptable quality.

In order to assist the agency with casting, composite cards have become very popular. These cards cut the cost of handing out expensive photographs as well as displaying the talent's head shot and a few details including our Agency's name, address and telephone number.
